Beat 3 eggs together and then whisk in the grated parmesan with salt and black pepper to make the carbonara sauce mixture.
Slice the bacon into small cubes. Cook the bacon. On the side, cook the pasta according to the packaging's instructions. Once pasta is cooked, strain the pasta but save some of the pasta water because you will need it for cooking the carbonara.
Mix in the pasta with the cooked bacon. Then mix in the carbonara sauce mixture and 1/3 cup of pasta water on a low / medium heat and continuously toss the pasta in the mixture till it is a saucy consistency. You need work cautiously because you don't want the eggs in the carbonara sauce mixture to cook into scrambled eggs!
