While I was growing up, this was one of my ultimate favourite snacks to have. The perfect snack for accompanying me while I was watching TV, doing homework, or for barbeques on a hot, humid summer day.
Not only does this taste scrumptious, it is super easy to throw together! This dish is also aesthetically pleasing and a crowd pleaser!
Prepare all the layers before hand before assembling. If you need instructions on preparing guacamole, check out my recipe. Most of the other layers can be store bought like refried beans and salsa. Unless you are feeling adventurous to make all the other layers from scratch.
Foodymandy’s 7 Layer Dip
Materials
- 1 can refried beans
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup shredded desired cheese I recommend cheddar or Monterey Jack
- 1/2 spring onion stalk chopped
- 1/4 cup black olives chopped
- 1 bag tortilla chips of your choice
Instructions
- Before assembling the layers together, you should have all the “layers” pre-prepared. To make the sour cream layer, combine the sour cream, paprika, and garlic powder together.
- The first layer will be the refried beans. For each layer, spread a thick layer evenly across the dish.
- Then the next layers are in the following order: guacamole, sour cream, salsa.
- Top with the shredded cheese, black olives, and spring onions.
- Enjoy with tortilla chips!
