I am coming onto almost my 4th year living in London now. So I think I am qualified to know a thing or two about good Chinese food in London!
Although I was born and raised in Canada, I grew up eating Chinese food. You may or may not know that my family is from Hong Kong. Fun fact about me: I can speak Cantonese! When I moved to the UK for university in Edinburgh, Chinese food was a bit harder to come across. Being a lazy uni student, I also didn’t cook much. Let alone plan to cook any Chinese food.
Fortunately, London is blessed with an abundance of great Chinese food options. Chinese New Year and the Year of the Ox is around the corner! To celebrate, I have compiled a list of my favourite Chinese restaurants in London. Gung hay gung hay! Wishing everyone a prosperous new year!
With each restaurant I listed, I provided the following information:
- Locations: where you can physically find their shops
- Cuisine / Speciality: the specific Chinese cuisine that they specialise in
- My favourites: my favourite dishes at the restaurant
- Delivery / Takeaway: how you can get a hold of their food. since London is still locked down for the foreseeable future 😢
